Michael

Michael had an MRI on Tuesday. After waiting an entire very stressful day and half, he was finally emailed a copy of the report which indicated good news. However, it wasn't until last night that we received a call from the doctor putting into plain language what we needed to hear, and that is that the cancer responded very well to the first round of treatment. The goal of the 6 weeks of radiation and first round of chemo was to reduce the tumor, and reduce it it did. We're feeling very relieved, but also gearing up for the next round of chemo which starts on Monday. For this round, he will receive a different concoction of drugs via a drip in the oncologists office where he will have to park himself for a few hours. This mass dose will be followed by 48 hours of the same meds via his PICC line and the infusion pump that he will have to carry around again. This regimen will be repeated two weeks from Monday. We're both feeling anxious, not knowing how he will respond to this next round. Side effects could be anywhere from minimal to debilitating.

Please continue to keep a good thought for him/us.

So very GREAT to hear his tumor is being knocked out by the poisons he is having to endure! Have a terrific weekend. Lisa
