This made me all teary - apparently, like a lot of other women. It just makes me feel good. My belly looks something like that, and I spend a lot of time despising it. Why do I do that to myself? It looks that way because I've grown six amazing kids in there. Why can't I love myself and just feel good about what my body has accomplished?
If only we could all feel so good in our own skin.

Since I've had kids, that's what my tummy looks like. I hate it! My husband calls it my beauty marks for carrying the babies. I'll try to look at it that way, too!
Love that pic. Strange that it made such headlines. Who would have thought to write a letter after seeing a normal woman in a magazine. That just proves how dysfunctional our society really is. She does look great!
The curiousity got the best of me and I had to look. Being a woman that has had kids, my only thoughts were....she looks beautiful to me! My body has been through alot the past 4 years and I feel very lucky to have a husband that loves and supports me...and truly that is all that matters. (and I know you do too!)
Finally a real picture of a real womans body in a magazine!! Great article, thanks for sharing. It's about time we saw a "normal" body in a magazine instead of a size 2 "perfect" body. No wonder girls think they have to be stick skinny now aday when they are seeing not the "norm" of a womans body in magazines like this one. This magazine has opened alot of eyes I am sure and helped alot of people not feel so bad about there bodies and Thank God they had the guts to show a "real" woman!!
I love that pic!
She's stunning. That is exactly what my belly looks like plus a whole lot of stretch marks. And look how happy she is? Love love love it.
Hi Lisa, Lizzie Miller is also one of my heroes. Your readers may want to check out a blog post I wrote in March just after Glamour's 70th Anniversary issue came out. It featured Lizzie's picture, and was related to the topic for which she's now bringing so much attention. The post is suddenly getting a tremendous amount of traffic! To read NOTE TO ...
